We offer design and installation for DX Geothermal Heating and Cooling systems

Geothermal Energy Options, LLC engineers and installs all systems from the ground loops to the heating and cooling equipment. Geothermal systems absorb and disperse heat energy to and from the ground through one of the following systems below:

DX Geothermal

Direct Exchange geothermal systems, DX for short, are 25 percent more efficient than traditional geothermal systems. The simple reason is the reduced number of thermal heat transfers, hence the term direct exchange. DX systems circulate refrigerant through individual ground loops using an electrical refrigerant compressor. The refrigerant absorbs and gives off heat more easily because of the highly conductive annealed copper tubing that are used for the ground loops. The less efficient, traditional systems use electrical pumps to circulate water/antifreeze solutions through buried plastic tubing.

The DX Equipment comes in the following capacities: 2 ton, 3 ton, 4 ton, 5 ton, and 6 ton

EarthLinked Technologies SC

The EarthLinked Technologies® HCW and CWH units are high efficiency direct expansion (DX) heat pump that provides hydronic heating.

The EarthLinked Technologies® SC equipment are installed as a split system that is piped accordingly to a ducted air handler. When retrofitting a residence, the existing duct work may have to be enlarged to reduce the noise from the higher air flows that geothermal heat pump systems require.

The EarthLinked Technologies® SCW unit is a high efficiency direct expansion (DX) heat pump that provides hydronic heating and chilled water for both your heating and cooling needs. The hydronic heating water can be used in radiant panels or forced air heating. The chilled water is used for forced air cooling. For certain applications where sensible loads are extremely high, radiant cooling systems can be employed using chilled water surfaces that absorb the sensible heat. Systems such as these are humidity sensitive and require some minimal ductwork and whole house dehumidification equipment.

The EarthLinked Technologies® HCW and CWH units are high efficiency direct expansion (DX) heat pump that provides hydronic heating. The hydronic heating water can be used in radiant slabs, flooring, or forced air heating, pool and spa heating, or dedicated hot water applications.

The EarthLinked Technologies DX Equipment comes in the following capacities: 2 ton, 3 ton, 4 ton and 5 ton

Vertical DX Loops

highly conductive property of copper, the total number of ground loops size is reduced, meaning a smaller source field.Unlike traditional systems, DX geothermal employs the use of smaller diameter boreholes and annealed copper ground loops. Because of the highly conductive property of copper, the total number of ground loops size is reduced, meaning a smaller source field. All ground loops are fabricated and tested prior to installation by our company. The installations of the ground loops are performed only by certified IGSHPA installers who have also been educated and trained by our company.

Geothermal Energy Options, LLC installs the Nordic® (R)-Series heating and cooling geothermal heat pumps for residential and commercial applications. These style heat pumps use either an open well or closed loop applications. This equipment is used for a forced air heating and cooling. This equipment can be installed as a split system that is piped accordingly to a ducted air handler, or a full package unit, and are most commonly used to replace legacy forced air furnaces and central air conditioning systems. When retrofitting a residence, the existing duct work may have to be enlarged to reduce the noise from the higher air flow.

The R Series Equipment comes in the following capacities: 2 ton, 3 ton, 4 ton and 5 ton

Nordic W Series

Geothermal Energy Options, LLC installs the Nordic® Heat Pumps – Liquid to Water geothermal heat pumps for use on open water wells and closed ground loops. The heat pumps are capable of a hot water output up to 120°F – for in-floor heating, pool heating or any other hot water requirement.
